Lisa Johnston | firstname.lastname@example.org | @aeternusphoto Joe and Maria Flores' Mexican Restaurant & Cantina in Old Ferguson was one of the first businesses to open in the newly redeveloped old part of town. The family are parishioners at Our Lady of Guadalupe and credit Msgr. Jack Schuler and Sister Cathy Doherty, SSND as inspirations to helping them realize their dream of running the restaurant. The windows of their building were smashed in during rioting following the announcement of no indictment for Officer Darren Wilson. Artists in the neighborhood painted the plywood which secures their premesis. Our Lady of Guadalupe was painted on one of the broken windows between the restaurant and the Quiznos business next door to them on Florissant Road.
