Lisa Johnston | firstname.lastname@example.org | Tiwtter: @aeternusphoto Michael Brown was unarmed when a Ferguson police officer shot and killed him Saturday, Aug. 9. Protest and riots have been occurring in the Ferguson neighborhoods and included the looting of many area businesses and the fire of a QT gas station and convenience market. Parishioners from Blessed Teresa of Calcutta came together in a prayer vigil for peace in the church's grotto with their pastor, Father Robert Rosebrough. Mike Fairbanks grew up in the area but now is a parishioner at St. Andrew in Lemay but still a business owner there. He prayed in the grotto and was offering up his day for peace for the community. "It's a stressful time," he said and continued, "These are good, honest and generous folks in this neighborhood."
